Community is the new black.

Much of my career has been working in human resources, organisational development and change management.

What was good about many of these roles was that I was usually part of a team in HR, leading a team of HR people or was part of a leadership team.

When I first started working in Diversity & Inclusion, I was the only person doing this role, in a very large organisation. It was during Covid, and while I was part of a team of people we were all working in different areas, no one was doing what I was doing, and we were located all over the world.

It. Was. Lonely.

There were also many times where I felt:

  • Like I didn’t have much support,

  • Lost and overwhelmed,

  • Exhausted and emotional, and

  • That I couldn’t make a difference.

And I realised fairly quickly that other people in other organisations doing Diversity & Inclusion work were feeling the same way, and that coming together to share our challenges and learn and support each other was helpful and powerful. I also learnt that people who do this work are incredibly generous and kind.

I knew that when I started The Culture Ministry, I wanted to support people working in Diversity & Inclusion to progress their careers and make a difference in their work.

I knew I wanted to create a community for people working in Diversity & Inclusion that would provide opportunities to network, to solve challenges with each other.

The Culture Club was born, but at the start it ended up being just for large organisations. I provided resources, presentations, coaching, and advice for a number of organisations across Asia Pacific and globally, which I still do.

But what I really wanted to do was to have something for people who might be alone in their work and would like a way to come together with others in other organisations to share, learn and build their network.

Who is The Culture Club for?

  • People who are passionate about working in Diversity & Inclusion and making a tangible difference in our organisations.

  • People wanting to accelerate their learning from a supportive network of peers working in Diversity & Inclusion.

  • People in Human Resources or People and Culture roles, who have Diversity & Inclusion as part of their role.

  • People wanting to enhance their professional toolkit, and find practical solutions to implement within their organisation.

  • People wanting to be a valued contributor and share experiences, insights, and knowledge to help build a thriving community of practice.

  • People wanting to build meaningful connections and network with professionals who are as passionate about D&I as you are.

  • People wanting to develop practical strategies and actionable insights that can be applied directly to your D&I initiatives and organisational goals.

Doors open on 7 July for The Culture Club. Learn more and join the waiting list now, for some awesome introductory offers.
