The world works in strange ways
(And how my heated towel rail got fixed).
Earlier this week I discovered that the heated towel rail in our bathroom had decided not to work. Now for those of you not living in New Zealand a heated towel rail sounds very bougie but let me tell you it’s essential.
We are moving into the very wet and mostly cold part of the year, and bath towels don’t dry in this weather. So heated towel rails are essential.
So I was feeling a bit sad on discovering this eventuality but given the towel rails seem to be original to the house, making them around 26 years old, I guess they have had a good run.
Not long after discovering the towel rail had gone to the big towel rail heaven I went to blow dry my hair. I plugged my fancy Dyson into the wall socket and….nothing! If my completely overpriced hairdryer had given up I was not going to be happy. I tried it in a the bedroom and it worked fine. Phew!
So maybe the power fuse had blown in the bathroom. I went to investigate the fuse box in the garage and learnt that
a) I needed to be taller, and
b) I had no idea what I needed to do in the fuse box. I’ll do some internet research I thought to myself.
Anyhoo two days later I step out of the shower to a warm towel rail, AND the power outlet has started to work again too 🤷♀️
The moral of the story? Is something not working in your work or career? Do you need some help getting things working again? Like my 26 year old heated towel rails? Maybe you need some coaching? Let’s chat. I’ll talk to you about how it works.
